Insect bites: Tiger mosquito and homeopathy

Insect bites: Tiger mosquito and homeopathyQuestion from Yolanda: Hello, I have read the article “Insect bites and homeopathy” and I would like to know if there are any homeopathic remedies that are effective for tiger mosquito bites.

I have a little boy who is 18 months old – in the summer he is constantly bitten by mosquitoes. Are there any natural remedies to prevent this from happening? Many thanks.

Our answer: Hello Yolanda! Tiger mosquitoes (Aedes albopicts) can be kept away by dissolving 5 pills of Ledum palustre 5C into a small amount of water and administering it with a dropper, morning and afternoon for the whole mosquito season.

If it is given as per our recommendation, it will be an effective deterrent.

InsectDHU, Pyrogenium 9C and Ledum palustre 5C against tiger mosquito bites

After the bite has occurred, you can apply the homeopathic product InsectDHU (from the DHU laboratory) topically, which works very well.

If the bites have an emergent superinfection, you can complete the treatment with Pyrogenium 9C, which will be given in the same way as we mentioned previously.

Adults can also take Ledum palustre 5C as a preventive measure in a dose of 5 granules to be dissolved underneath the tongue in between meals, morning and afternoon.

Many thanks for your question and best of luck with keeping the mosquitoes away this year!

In any case, always ask for advice from your GP, therapist, pharmacist or health professional.
