You will probably remember a time when you have eaten too much and noticed the familiar symptoms of fullness, stomach pain and indigestion. Heartburn is also common.

Digestive herbal teas for stomach discomfort

- Chamomile and aniseed tea
Ingredients: 1 tsp of chamomile flowers, 1 tsp of aniseed and 1 cup of water
Preparation: boil the equivalent to a cup of water in a saucepan and add the chamomile and aniseed. Boil it for 3 minutes and then cover it and leave it to rest for 2 minutes. Strain and serve.
- Rosemary tea
Ingredients: 2 Tbsp of Rosemary leaves and 1 l of water.
Preparation: Boil 1l of water and add the rosemary leaves. Leave it to boil for 3 minutes. Take it off the heat, cover it and let it rest for 2 minutes. Strain it and drink 1 cup.
- Milk thistle tea
Ingredients: 2 Tbsp of milk thistle, ¼ l of water.
Preparation: Boil ¼ l of water and add the milk thistle leaves. Leave it to boil for 3 minutes. Take it off the heat, cover it and leave it to rest for 5 minutes. Strain and serve.
- Thyme tea
Ingredients: 1 tsp of thyme, 1 cup of water.
Preparation: Boil 1 cup of water in a saucepan and add the thyme. Boil it for 3 minutes. Take it off the heat, cover it and leave it to rest for 2 minutes. Strain and serve.
Follow a bland diet
It is normal that we should feel full for the first few hours after having eaten too much; it is therefore a good idea to give our stomach a rest by eating a very bland diet of vegetable broths, fruits and vegetables.
