Losing weight: Homeopathy for weight loss

If you really want to lose weight, you can reach your goals with homeopathy. But in order to succeed and lose weight, you need to be honest with yourself.

Many factors affect the success of weight loss with a homeopathic treatment, including dietary habits and being too sedentary. In some cases, excess weight is due to hereditary factors.

In homeopathy, there is no simple treatment for treating excess weight, cellulite or obesity. Some people respond well to a treatment, for others it is less effective, but with determination, varying degrees of success can be achieved.

Before describing the homeopathic medicines that can help us lose weight, it should be remembered that the basis of any weight loss is diet.

During a diet, the intake of carbohydrates (sweets, flour, bread, pasta, potatoes) and fats should be reduced. Sugar must also be eliminated by substituting a sweetener and cutting out sugary drinks and alcohol.

However, many other foods can be eaten, such as meat, fish, vegetables, salads and fruits that are low in calories.

It is also important to start with what is known as “drainage” in homeopathy, in order to eliminate lymphatic, renal, hepatic (liver) and digestive toxins. There are a number of homeopathic preparations already on the market (e.g., BodyAnew Cleanse Multipack Oral Drops by the pharmaceutical company Heel, among others).

Some homeopathic remedies for weight loss

Homeopathic treatments should consider the physical, mental and emotional states of each patient. Excess weight may be caused by different factors (emotions, illness, quitting smoking, hereditary factors…).

The source of the weight gain has to be identified along with the type of reaction that best matches the person.

Anacardium orientale 30 C

This should always be included in any homeopathic treatment for weight loss. It is a homeopathic remedy that helps control anxiety impulses and snacking between meals; it can also help regulate appetite.

Anacardium orientale individuals are indecisive with conflicting impulses. They admit to “eating reluctantly, against their will and not on purpose”. Eating makes them feel better; it soothes their “bad mood”.

This remedy stops the ferocious appetite. It is indicated in cases of overeating and bulimia.

The sensitive type that responds to this medicine is usually an overweight child or a big eater (adult) prone to digestive and skin disorders. They are greedy at the table as well as between meals.

Calcarea carbonica, Nux vomica or Suphur (at high dilution)

These three drugs are appropriate for individuals who are overweight because they are “couch potatoes”. Too many good meals, alcohol, coffee, drugs, lack of exercise and craving for sweets have led to a weight gain of 5 to 10 kilos.

This weight gain tends to be recurring and often coincides with digestive, dermatological (skin), allergic or nervous problems.

Ignatia amara 15 C

This is an ideal remedy to avoid snacking caused by nervousness, anxiety or stress-related depression.

It treats excess weight episodes that are usually occasional and sudden, occurring as a result of a mental upset (bereavement, depression), a disease or a significant change (quitting smoking).

Bioptimum, two tablets morning and night, plus oligoelements (zinc-nickel-cobalt), one ampoule twice daily.
