Childhood chickenpox and homeopathy

Chickenpox in babies and children is a benign but highly contagious disease. Chickenpox is a zoster virus.

The symptoms of chickenpox are small red marks on the skin that transform into nodules and blisters.

The blisters eventually dry out and then turn into scabs.

The most bothersome symptom is the intense itching.

The illness usually lasts a week.

Red marks appear on the face, the head and the torso.

It can also affect the mouth, the genitals and the inside of the ears.

A few other symptoms are general discomfort, fever, headaches, vomiting and a loss of appetite.

Chickenpox is a harmless disease in babies and children, but can cause complications in teenagers, adults, expectant mothers, and people with suppressed immune systems.

Example: Homeopathic treatment

When the first symptoms appear, you could start with Rhus toxicodendron 15C and Poumon histamine 15C. 5 granules of each medicine could be taken alternatively every 2 hours.

When the scabs appear, we can use Mezereum 5C and Antimonium tartaricum 9C.

5 granules of each could be taken twice a day.
